Proxy provider
ScrapeUnblocker vs Oxylabs
Oxylabs sells residential, datacenter and ISP proxies, Scraper APIs and Web Unblocker, a proxy-like endpoint that handles JavaScript rendering, CAPTCHAs and browser fingerprints and returns raw HTML. ScrapeUnblocker does a similar job as a scraping API: you send a URL and get the rendered page back as HTML, or as structured JSON. The main practical difference is how you pay: Oxylabs prices Web Unblocker by traffic, ScrapeUnblocker by request.
According to its pricing page, Oxylabs Web Unblocker is billed per GB of traffic, from $9.40 per GB on the Micro plan ($75 for 8 GB), and Oxylabs states that it charges only for successfully extracted data. ScrapeUnblocker bills per request instead: 1 request is 1 credit, from €1.00 per 1,000 requests on pay as you go to about €0.55 per 1,000 on the Ultimate plan, with JavaScript rendering included. Which one costs less depends on how large your pages are, so compare on your own targets.
Web Unblocker is integrated like a proxy: you point your existing code at its entry node, and Oxylabs states that it returns raw HTML only. ScrapeUnblocker is called as an HTTP API, with official SDKs for Python, Node, Ruby and PHP, an MCP server and Apify actors, and it can return structured JSON: parsed_data=true on any page, or plugin endpoints that return parsed JSON for sites such as Skyscanner, Google Maps, eBay and Temu.
