ScrapingAnt is a web scraping API that renders pages in headless Chrome with rotating proxies, and adds Markdown output and AI extraction. ScrapeUnblocker does the same core job: you send a URL and get back the rendered page as HTML, or structured JSON with parsed_data=true or a plugin endpoint. The difference is mostly in how each one counts usage.
According to ScrapingAnt's website, most requests cost 1 to 25 credits depending on the options, and its default request, Chrome rendering with standard proxies, costs 10 credits. Its plans start at $19 per month for 100,000 credits, and every account gets 10,000 free credits a month. ScrapeUnblocker charges 1 credit per request with rendering always on: €1.00 per 1,000 requests on pay as you go, with plans from €29 per month and 500 free requests on signup.
Both say failed requests are not charged. ScrapeUnblocker adds plugin endpoints that return parsed JSON for sites such as Skyscanner, Google Maps, eBay and Temu, a Google search endpoint (/serpApi), and official SDKs for Python, Node, Ruby and PHP. ScrapingAnt offers Markdown output and AI extraction, and sells standalone residential and datacenter proxies billed by GB.
