Capterra Scraper
capterra.com
Capterra is served through a dedicated plugin endpoint rather than the generic page fetch. Give it a product - its numeric id such as 135003, id and slug such as 135003/Slack, or a capterra.com product URL - and it returns the product and its reviews already parsed. The product: name, vendor, overall rating, review count, the four sub-ratings (ease of use, customer service, features, value for money), categories, description and pricing with the starting price, pricing model, free trial and free version flags and the plans. Each review: title, overall rating with the same sub-ratings and the likelihood to recommend (0-10), date, the reviewer's job title, industry, company size, time using the product and how the reviewer was validated, the overall comments, pros, cons and advice, the reasons for choosing the product and for switching with the products considered or switched from, the incentive and source badges, the site the review was collected on (Capterra, GetApp or Software Advice) and the vendor's response. Reviews come in Capterra's own Most Helpful order, 25 to a page; a call collects up to 500 from any page and nextPage continues, up to the 100 pages Capterra lists per product. With mode=search and a keyword such as crm it searches Capterra's product catalog instead and returns up to 20 products with the matching categories. No Capterra account is involved.

-H "X-ScrapeUnblocker-Key: $SU_API_KEY" \
"https://api.scrapeunblocker.com/reviews/capterra?product=135003%2FSlack&max_results=50"import requests
resp = requests.post(
"https://api.scrapeunblocker.com/reviews/capterra",
headers={"X-ScrapeUnblocker-Key": SU_API_KEY},
params={"product": "135003/Slack", "max_results": "50"},
)
print(resp.text)import { ScrapeUnblockerClient } from 'scrapeunblocker';
const su = new ScrapeUnblockerClient({ apiKey: process.env.SU_API_KEY });
const data = await su.capterraReviews('135003/Slack', { maxResults: 50 });
console.log(data); Requests are POST and take their parameters in the query string. Browser rendering always happens - there is no flag to enable.

} Frequently asked questions
Is it legal to scrape Capterra reviews?
Collecting publicly available Capterra reviews and ratings is lawful in many jurisdictions, but the rules depend on your country, the data you collect and how you use it. Reviewer names, job titles and review text can be personal data, so follow the privacy rules that apply to you. ScrapeUnblocker returns the public reviews; what you collect and how you use it is your responsibility.
How do I scrape Capterra without getting blocked?
Capterra uses bot detection and rate limiting. The /reviews/capterra plugin asks for each review page on ScrapeUnblocker's browser-free legs first, and only when those miss does it let the chain render the page in a real browser; it reads the reviews from the data the page is built from. In ScrapeUnblocker's benchmark it returned reviews on 99.5% of 1,100 calls with a different product each time, about 2.6s per call.
How many Capterra reviews can I get?
Capterra lists a product's reviews 25 to a page in its own Most Helpful order, and at most 100 pages per product, so up to 2,500 reviews are reachable for the biggest products. A call collects up to 500 (max_results, default 25) from any page you start at, and nextPage continues; viewLimitReached is true once the 100-page limit is hit. There is no newest-first sort or date filter: the order is Capterra's Most Helpful only. A product with only a few reviews has no review pages, and its reviews come from its profile in one page; a product without reviews answers with an empty list.
What data do I get for each review?
Each review has its id and link, the title, the overall rating with the ease of use, customer service, features and value for money ratings and the likelihood to recommend (0-10), the date, the reviewer's name or an anonymous flag, job title, industry, company size, time using the product and validations such as LinkedIn, the overall comments, pros, cons and advice, the reasons for choosing the product and for switching with the products considered or switched from, the incentive and source badges, the site it was collected on (Capterra, GetApp or Software Advice) and the vendor's response. The product summary adds the name, vendor, rating, review count, sub-ratings, categories, description and pricing.
How do I find a Capterra product?
Pass product as the numeric product id, id and slug (135003/Slack) or a capterra.com product URL such as https://www.capterra.com/p/135003/Slack/reviews/. id and slug is the fastest form: a bare id costs one extra lookup the first time a page past the first is asked for. Do not know the id? Call with mode=search and query, such as crm or a product name, to get up to 20 products from Capterra's catalog with their ids and review counts, plus the matching categories.
How much does it cost to scrape Capterra reviews?
Each review page delivered is billed as one request: Capterra shows 25 reviews per page, so the default 25 reviews is 1 request, max_results=100 is 4 and 500 is 20, and pagesFetched shows the exact number. A search is one request. 1 request = 1 credit, EUR 1.00 per 1,000 on pay as you go, down to about EUR 0.55 per 1,000 on the Ultimate plan. Blocks and timeouts are not billed, and the free trial includes 500 requests with no card.
